HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ashley Cole put Lehigh ahead with a two-run homer in the bottom of the first.
- After senior Gabi Martinez scored on junior Kaitlin Sahlinger's RBI single in the second, the Mountain Hawks scored an unearned run on an RBI groundout to keep the advantage at two runs.
- The Terriers came back with two runs off three hits and an error in the third ... Junior Emma Wong scored on sophomore Alex Heinen's sacrifice fly, and senior Moriah Connolly eventually reached home on a misplayed grounder.
- BU had two runners in scoring position, but Lehigh's Parker Boyd prevented more damage by getting a strikeout.
- Boyd allowed a lead-off single to Connolly in the fifth and was replaced by Christine Campbell, who started off by hitting junior Jilee Schanda with the first pitch.
- The Terriers went on to score a combined three runs with RBIs from senior Gabi Martinez and sophomore Madi Killebrew.
- After being held scoreless in back-to-back innings by freshman Kali Magane, Lehigh broke through with seven runs off five hits, including a three-run double by Mary-Hannah Smith and two-run blast by VIcky Lattanzio.
- BU tried to rally back but stranded a runner on base in each of the final two innings.
