STORRS, Conn. – After winning the first two doubles matches, Connecticut captured five singles points, including three in three sets, to defeat the Boston University women's tennis team, 6-1, on Saturday afternoon at the UConn Tennis Courts.

- The Huskies claimed a 6-0 win at line 2 and a 6-3 victory in the No. 3 slot during doubles to grab a 1-0 advantage.
- UConn then dropped just five games apiece in the No. 4 and 6 singles slots, respectively, to extend the lead.
- Sophomore Remi Ramos put BU on the board with a hard-fought 7-6(2), 6-4 victory at line 3 against Jacquelyn Fitz-Randolph.
- Junior Iryna Kostirko (#1), senior Barbara Rodriguez (#2) and sophomore Sophia Kryloff (#5) all came up just short in tightly-contested three-set matches.
- The Terriers will wrap up the regular season with a pair of Patriot League matches next week at Army West Point.
- BU will first face Lehigh on Friday and then the Black Knights on Saturday.
