Golf Opens Fall Season at Navy Fall Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Boston University golf team opened its fall campaign at the Navy Fall Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.
BU finished the 54-hole event with a score of 936 (316-307-313), good for fourth place. Richmond finished first with a total of 886. The tournament took place at the Naval Academy Golf Club, which will host the 2018 Patriot League Championship.
Senior Phyllis Tang posted a pair of 75s on Saturday en route to a two-day total of 230 (75-75-80), which led the Terriers and was good for a tie for 11th overall.
Freshman Katerina Doleckova's collegiate debut was highlighted by a second-round 74. She finished in a tie for 21st with a score of 234 (80-74-80). Junior Megan Carter carded a final-round 76 and totaled a 237 (81-80-76) for the weekend to tie for 24th.
Sophomore Abby Parsons was 27th with a 238 (80-80-78) while classmate Zhangcheng Guo finished tied for 32nd with a 240 (83-78-79). Sophomore Saeros Oskarsdottr competed as an individual and carded a 254 (90-82-82).
BU will next compete at the 36-hole Dartmouth Invitational on Sept. 23 and 24.
