BOSTON – Highlighted by a seventh-place finish by the championship 8 "A" boat, the Boston University men's rowing team competed in Day 2 of the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta (HOCR) on Sunday. Over the two-day event, the men's rowing team recorded four top-ten finishes while competing against the best collegiate boats in the country.

SUNDAY RESULTS
•          Men's Championship 8 "A" – 7th among collegians (15:19.73)
•          Men's Championship 8 "B" – 9th among collegians (15:35.60)

SATURDAY RESULTS RESULTS
•          Men's Club 8  – 4th among collegians (15:02.56)
•          Men's Club 4  – 3rd among collegians (17:06.96)

HOW IT HAPPENED

Sunday
• Battling windy conditions throughout the 3-mile long course, the men's championship 8 "A" boat, coxed by Sean Dooling and stroked by Jacob Raillon, finished seventh among collegians (11th overall) with a time of 15:19.73 in a large and talented field of 32 boats. The varsity eight finished ahead of "A" boats from Cornell, Dartmouth, Wisconsin and Cornell.
•          The BU championship  8 "B" boat, coxed by Chloe Jacobs and stroked by Nils Kocher, finished ninth among collegians (15th overall) with a time of 15:35.60, ahead of B boats from Yale, Harvard and Princeton.

Saturday
•          The men's Club 8 boat, coxed by William Mulhall and stroked by Andrew Marsh, finished fourth among collegians in the Club 8 race with a time of 15:02.56 in a field of 36 boats. BU finished behind only of winner (14:46.85), second place Brown (14:56.25) and third place Dartmouth (14:57.49).

•          Earlier in the day, BU finished third among collegians in the Club 4 race. Coxed by Grace Heavey and stroked by Zachary Burkhart, BU finished with a time of third with a time of 17:06.96 in a large field of 55 boats.

UP NEXT

•          The men's rowing team will next compete at the Foot of the Charles on Nov. 11th.
