HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Terriers got off to a dream start just 6:45 into the proceedings. After Compher caught a pass from Davis at the left circle, the sophomore dished it to Elia at the right post for a tap-in finish.
- The Terriers killed off 1:21 of 5-on-3 time during the first period, with Stuart making seven of her 16 first-period saves on the penalty kill. She also denied Caitrin Lonergan on a breakaway bid early in the period to keep BU in front after the first frame.
- BC evened the score at 1-1 during a 4-on-4 situation at 7:09 of the second stanza.
- Wuthrich notched her first collegiate goal at 3:41 of the final frame. After Tarnowski and De Sousa both had in-close chances turned aside, the puck bounced to Wuthrich at the right post. The freshman collected it and calmly put it into the back of the net.
- Compher extended the lead to 3-1 when she uncorked a wrister from the right circle that went top shelf over Maddy McArthur's glove.
- BC got a goal back at 17:17 of the period, but the Terriers withstood a 6-on-5 barrage from the Eagles over the final minute to secure the victory.
