How to Watch Games on NESN & NESNplus
BOSTON – The Boston University Department of Athletics is proud to announce a new television partnership with NESN, resulting in an 18-game broadcast package for six teams over the course of the 2018-19 season.
The men's and women's basketball, ice hockey and lacrosse teams will each have three games televised on either NESN or NESNplus. The new package kicks off with the basketball home openers, beginning with the men on Friday (Nov. 9) against Vermont (7 p.m., NESNplus) before the women host Brown on Monday (Nov. 12) at 7 p.m. on NESN.
These broadcasts will be produced internally by BU Athletics' video production department in conjunction with the Patriot League Network. In a partnership with BUTV10 in BU's College of Communication, BU Athletics video production provides a unique co-curricular learning environment where students gain hands-on experience during live broadcast productions at various athletic events on campus. On average, BU Athletics produces more than 100 live video broadcasts annually for 12 different sports and other events.
"NESN has been a great home for New England sports for decades and we look forward to showcasing BU Athletics as part of its programming," said Drew Marrochello, BU's director of athletics. "We are proud of our commitment to enhance our student-athlete experience and having our games shown alongside the Red Sox and Bruins certainly does that. Our partnership with our College of Communication continues to grow each year, and these broadcasts will take the students' hands-on experience to a whole new level."
NESN and NESNplus are available throughout the six-state New England region (except Fairfield County, Connecticut). For a complete channel listing in your area, click here.
All 18 contests in the package will also be available on NESNgo, the network's streaming service, and fans outside of the New England area will be able to access the broadcasts through the Patriot League Network (basketball & lacrosse) and TerrierTV (ice hockey). Select games will also be available on NESN National, which can be accessed via several TV providers throughout the country.
The 12 basketball and ice hockey dates have been finalized while the six lacrosse broadcasts will be determined once those teams' 2019 schedules are announced in the coming weeks.
