WINCHESTER, Mass. – After dropping the doubles point, the four-time defending Patriot League champion Boston University women's tennis team put on a strong performance in singles action to claim a 5-2 victory over Navy on Sunday morning.

MATCH NOTES

After dropping the doubles point, the Terriers won the top five singles matches in straight sets to claim the victory over Navy.
Freshman Katya Martens teamed with classmate Dani Blaser for a 6-4 win at line 2 in doubles and then improved to a perfect 4-0 this dual season with a 7-5, 6-2 victory in the No. 5 slot.
Freshman Emily Kim dropped the fewest games (4) with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at line 3.
Both senior Iryna Kostirko (#1) and junior Remi Ramos (#2) only lost five games apiece, while freshman Lily Burchell (#4) won 12 of 18 of games.
This was the first meeting between the two programs since BU's 4-2 win at Navy in the 2017 Patriot League semifinals.
