DEBARY, Fla. - The Boston University gold team continued its spring season at the three-day Babs Steffens Invitational, which concluded on Monday at DeBary Golf and Country Club.
BU combined to shoot a 54-hole score of 956 (321-314-321) and finished seventh in the 12-team field. The Terriers carded 23 birdies during the tournament, tied for second most among all schools.
Senior Phyllis Tang tied for eighth with a score of 231 (75-74-82) thanks to a second-round 74. She entered the final round only five-over and was tied for second early in the final round.
Freshman Katerina Doleckova was 27th with a score of 240 (80-79-81), followed by junior Megan Carter in 31st with a 242 (81-82-79). Sophomore Zhangcheng Guo was one stroke back of Carter thanks to a back-to-back 79s to close her week (85-79-79--243) while classmate Saeros Oskarsdottir carded a 289.
The Terriers will return to Florida for their final tune-up for the Patriot League Championship on April 7 and 8 when they compete at the 54-hole Harvard Invitational in Sarasota.
