Six Terriers Selected as AHCA All-American Scholars

BOSTON - Six members of the Boston University women's ice hockey team were selected as All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association.
Ashlyn Aiello, Rachel Allen, Victoria Bach, Deziray De Sousa, Rebecca Leslie and Breanna Scarpaci all received the recognition, which is given to a player that has recorded a 3.6 grade-point average in each semester and has also played in at least 40% of his or her team's games. All goaltenders, regardless of minutes player, are also eligible for this award.
Aiello, Bach and Leslie all graduated from BU in May. Allen will enter her sophomore season in 2018-19, while De Sousa and Scarpaci will be juniors during the upcoming campaign. All six Terriers were named to the Hockey East All-Academic Team earlier this month.
No other Beanpot school placed more female student-athletes on this list than BU.
