
Compher Invited to USA Hockey Evaluation Camp

Compher is one of 37 players who will participate in the camp, which will take place Sept. 13-17 on the campus of the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine. The camp will be utilized to evaluate player progression and provide training guidelines as players prepare for upcoming opportunities with the U.S. Women's National Team. Players will be split into two teams and participate in three intrasquad scrimmages as part of the camp.
A native of Northbrook, Illinois, Compher most recently skated for the U.S. Under-22 Women's Select Team in a three-game series against Canada in August. The Americans won all three games of the series.
Compher shined in her debut season with the Terriers, earning a spot on the Hockey East All-Rookie Team. She appeared in all 37 games for BU and finished third on the team with 26 points thanks to nine goals and 17 assists. Her 17 helpers ranked second among all league rookies. Compher factored on five game-winning goals (2g, 3a) and recorded at least one point in all three of the Terriers' playoff contests. She also led all league rookies during the regular season with 299 faceoff wins and finished second among Hockey East freshmen with a faceoff percentage of .545.
