
Terriers Conclude 2018-19 Season at NCAA Regional

CLE ELUM, Wash. - The Boston University golf team concluded its 2018-19 season on Wednesday in the final round of the Cle Elum Regional of the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Regional Championships hosted by the University of Washington at Tumble Creek Club.
Playing in its second-ever NCAA Regional, BU finished the 54-hole tournament in 17th place with a three-day total of 937 (307-318-312). All five Terriers that competed contributed at least one score during the week.
Freshman Hanako Kawasaki capped off an outstanding rookie season with a final-round 76 to tie for 57th at 226 (71-79-76). She became the first Terrier to shoot below par at an NCAA Regional on Monday when she carded an opening-round 71 (-1). Kawasaki won three times in 10 starts, including the Patriot League Championship. She completed the year with a scoring average of 75 thanks to eight rounds at par or better.
Senior Megan Carter closed her terrific collegiate career on Wednesday with a final-round 78 for a three-day score of 235 (75-82-78). Her best round of the week came on Monday when she sank three birdies en route to a 75. Carter was a three-time All-Patriot League honoree during her time at BU, including a first-team selection in 2017. She sank two hole-in-ones this season during tournament play, including one during the final round of the Patriot League Championship to help the Terriers claim the title. Carter will graduate from the Questrom School of Business.
Junior Zhangcheng Guo (79-82-80) and sophomore Katerina Doleckova (84-75-82), both All-Patriot League players this season, each recorded a 241 this week. Junior Abby Parsons, also an All-Patriot League selection this season, fired a final-round 78 and collected a 54-hole total of 244 (82-84-78).
The Terriers will return six of their seven players that competed this season, including junior Annie Sritragul, who posted an average of 77.5 this season and was an Academic All-Patriot League honoree in her first year at BU.
