PHILADELPHIA, PA - Fresh off their Eastern Sprints Ulbrich Trophy victory, the No. 3 Boston University's women's lightweight rowing team will continue their spring season this Friday and Saturday at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia, Pa.
The Terriers will send out four boats to compete in the regatta, the varsity eight, the varsity four and two doubles in their final competition for the before the IRA National Championship Regatta on June 1-2.
Last year, competing against heavyweight competition, the BU lightweights advanced three boats to the grand finals, won gold in the V8 competition and took home silver in doubles competition.
The Dad Vail Regatta is one of the country's largest collegiate regattas with over 100 schools and 3,500 rowers from across United States and Canada converge on the historic Schuykill River in Philadelphia.
On Friday, time trials begin at 7:00 a.m. and run until late morning. Heats start after the race course is converted back to lanes and finish at 5:00 p.m. On Saturday, semi-final heats begin at 7:00 a.m. and finish late morning. Finals run from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

This weekend will be the final competition for the BU lightweights before they compete in the IRA National Championship Regatta on June 1-2, in Sacramento, Calif.
