BOSTON – Highlighted by 17 regular-season home games, including the 42nd annual Women's Beanpot, the Boston University women's ice hockey team announced its 2019-20 schedule on Wednesday.
Fans can purchase season tickets by clicking here. For only $65 ($50 for BU faculty/staff and $40 for young alumni), you'll receive a ticket to each of the 15 non-Beanpot home games – a $50+ savings – access to an exclusive reception and more.
The Terriers will skate in 34 contests during their 15th season as a varsity program. That includes the Beanpot, which will take place at Walter Brown Arena on Feb. 4 and 11. BU will open its title defense against Boston College before facing either Harvard or Northeastern on the second Tuesday of the tournament. Tickets for the Women's Beanpot will go on sale at a later date.
Eight of the Terriers' first 10 tilts will be on the road, including their season opener at Union on Oct. 6. BU will play its lone October home game on the 11th when the Terriers welcome Merrimack to Walter Brown. They will finish the month with trips to UConn (Oct. 18), Maine (Oct. 20) and Penn State (Oct. 25-26).
The Terriers will begin November with a home-and-home series against defending league champion Northeastern (Nov. 1-2) before traveling to Providence on Nov. 9. BU will host its first extended homestand of the season when Yale (Nov. 12), Boston College (Nov. 15) and Harvard (Nov. 19) all come to Boston.
Following a two-game trek to Vermont (Nov. 23-24), BU will close out the calendar year with a home-and-home set against the Eagles (Dec. 6-7) that opens on a Friday night at Walter Brown.
The second semester schedule features 11 home games, beginning with a two-game series with Maine (Jan. 4-5). Home-and-home matchups with Providence (Jan. 10-11), Holy Cross (Jan. 17-18) and Merrimack (Jan. 24-25) will come next before the Terriers travel to Northeastern (Jan. 28) and host Vermont (Jan. 31).
After a trip to Holy Cross on Feb. 8 and a visit to New Hampshire on Feb. 15, the Terriers will play its final three fixtures at Walter Brown Arena. That stretch begins with a visit from UNH before UConn arrives in Boston for a pair of tilts to wrap up the regular season.
The Hockey East quarterfinals will begin on Friday, Feb. 28, with the league's championship weekend taking place on March 7 and 8.
BU and Agganis Arena will host the 2020 Women's Frozen Four on March 20 and 22. All-session tickets are currently on sale.
