BOSTON – Looking to claim sole possession of second place in the Patriot League standings, the Boston University men's basketball team will host American on Sunday with the CBS Sports Network broadcast set to begin at 12 p.m.
The Terriers and Eagles are currently tied at 10-5, two games behind Colgate, and have clinched a first-round bye for the upcoming 10-team PL tournament. Whoever wins Sunday's matchup will clinch a home quarterfinal contest with two games remaining. Lafayette (9-6 PL), Army West Point (9-7) and Bucknell (7-8) are looming behind.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU is 8-3 at home with a 5-2 conference mark, including wins over Army (81-59) and Lafayette (73-72).
- The Terriers recorded a split on the two-game road trip, first recording a 77-54 win at Navy and then a loss to the Leopards (61-59) that saw BU miss the go-ahead 3-point attempt before the buzzer.

SERIES HISTORY
- BU leads the all-time series, 9-8, dating back to 1997-98 but has dropped the last five games.
