Women's Rowing Posts Pair of Top-10 Finishes Saturday at Head of the Charles

BOSTON – The Boston University women's rowing team posted a pair of top-10 finishes to open the 56th annual Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday with the DeWolfe Boathouse once again serving as the starting line.
In the club fours event, BU's boat coxed by sophomore Trisha Jaggi and stroked by senior Kylie Graves placed seventh overall out of 54 crews at 18:57.267. The time was the sixth fastest by a collegiate crew and 11 seconds faster than the Terriers' performance in the same event in 2019.
Coxed by sophomore Heidi Cook and stroked by freshman Hannah Look, the Terriers' boat in the club eights event took 10th overall out of 31 crews at 17:16.432, which was the ninth fastest collegiate time and 30 seconds better than the time set in 2019.
In other events, BU had an alumnae eight boat take to the water and finish 24th out of 47 crews. The Terriers' boatman Russ Cone raced on Friday morning and won the men's grand master/veteran singles event at 18:56.664, 16 seconds better than the nearest competitor.
BU will race two more boats on Sunday with one participating in the championship fours event at 1:30 p.m. and another in the championship eights event at 2:25 p.m.
