Men's Swimming & Diving Cruises to 183-108 Win at Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Collecting its third straight dual win, the Boston University men's swimming & diving team rolled to a 183-108 victory at Providence on Saturday afternoon.
The Terriers won all but four events and had a 1-2 finish in nine total events with three 1-2-3 results.
Junior Kyle Falkstrom claimed a meet-high three individual wins, starting off in the 100 breast (1:04.25) and then leading a 1-2-3 BU finish in both the 200 breast (2:20.80) and 200 IM (2:09.68). On the diving front, freshman Lyde De Hooghe swept the 1 and 3-meter events with scores of 288.82 and 280.42, respectively.
Freshman Dolan Grisbaum started with a four-second victory in the 800 free at 8:27.99 and later followed up with a comfortable win in the 400 free at 4:05.89. He also added a second-place result in the 200 IM to help the Terriers' efforts.
Sophomore Jackson Olin collected a pair of individual victories as well, posting a time of 58:05 in the 100 back before edging junior Jacob Lindner by .01 seconds in the 100 free at 52.86.
In the 200 free, graduate student Daniel Galante touched the wall first at 1:55.98 and later took second in the 400 free. Junior Sarsen Whatmore matched those efforts with a first-place finish in the 200 back (2:08.08) and runner-up result in the 800 free.
Senior Stuart Vickery led a 1-2-3 Terrier finish of his own in the 100 fly (57.06).
After two meets on the road, BU will next return home to host the three-day Terrier Invitational on Friday, Nov. 19 – Sunday, Nov. 21.
