WAKEFIELD, Mass. - Senior co-captain Jesse Compher of the Boston University women's ice hockey team has been named a Hockey East Second Team All-Star, the league announced on Saturday.
This is Compher's third straight selection to a league all-star team; she was a first-team honoree in 2018-19 and a second-team choice last season. She is the fifth Terrier (Victoria Bach, Abby Cook, Marie-Philip Poulin, Tara Watchorn) to be named a Hockey East First or Second Team All-Star in three seasons.

Compher has been terrific for the Terriers during this shortened 2020-21 season. She leads the team in goals (7) and points (11) in just eight games this season. Her average of 1.38 points per game ranks fifth among Division I skaters and second in Hockey East. Compher has been held off the score sheet just twice this season and has notched a goal in five of her eight appearances.
Entering Sunday's Hockey East quarterfinal contest at Providence, the 2019 Second Team All-American has recorded 127 career points thanks to 46 goals and 81 assists. Compher ranks fifth all-time in assists and ninth all-time in points among Terrier skaters.
