Kawasaki Named Patriot League Golfer of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - Junior Hanako Kawasaki of the Boston University golf team has been named Patriot League Golfer of the Week, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Kawasaki was terrific for BU in the two events she played. She began the weekend by winning the Hartford/Tumble Brook Invitational on Friday thanks to a one-under 71. She made four birdies to earn a one-stroke victory, while leading the Terriers to their second consecutive team title with a season-low score of 297.
The Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, native then carded a 149 (75-74) at the 36-hole Sacred Heart Invitational on April 11 and 12. Kawasaki tied for seventh out of 75 competitors, while leading BU to a third-place finish as a team. She enters Thursday's match against Holy Cross with a scoring average of 76.0.
Kawasaki is the second Terrier to receive this honor in as many weeks, as graduate student Zhangcheng Guo was recognized on April 7. This is the fourth time in her career that Kawasaki has been named Patriot League Golfer of the Week.
