
BU Athletics Sets Department Record with 3.38 GPA in 2020-21

BOSTON – With all 24 varsity programs in action during an unconventional Spring 2021 semester, the student-athletes of the Boston University Department of Athletics continued their strong performances in the classroom with a 3.38 grade-point average to finish the academic year at 3.38.
The 3.38 overall GPA is an all-time high and marks the sixth year in a row that the record has been set. Another record was set by BU student-athletes, as 401 Terriers were recently named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll for earning a GPA of 3.20 or above. In total, 47 student-athletes finished with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The golf team recorded the highest GPA in the spring with a 3.74 and owned the highest for the year at 3.70. Women's basketball had the largest improvement from the fall semester, raising its average by 0.25.
