September 2, 2021 | Women's Ice Hockey
BOSTON - The Boston University women's ice hockey team announced its full 2021-22 schedule on Thursday.
In addition to 14 regular-season home games, BU will play 20 contests away from home. That includes a trip to Pittsburgh for the Battle at the 'Burgh, which will take place on Jan. 1 and 2. The Terriers will face Syracuse for the first time in program history in the opening game before playing either Penn State or St. Cloud State the next day. BU will also travel to RPI and Union on Oct. 22 and 23 and make the trek to Yale to conclude the first-semester schedule on Dec. 8.
BU will begin the regular season at New Hampshire on Friday, Oct. 1, before hosting the Wildcats at Walter Brown Arena the next day at 2 p.m. While Walter Brown will be the Terriers' home venue this season, BU will host Northeastern at Agganis Arena on Jan. 22 at 7:30 p.m., in the second game of a BU hockey doubleheader that day. The men will welcome Vermont to Agganis that afternoon at 4.
The Terriers will look to win their second Beanpot in three tries when they compete in the 43rd edition of the tournament on Feb. 1 and 8 at Northeastern. BU will face Harvard in the opening round in search of a fourth straight trip to the championship game.
