
BU Announces Updated COVID-19 Fan Policy for Ice Hockey & Basketball Effective Jan. 15

BOSTON – Per the City of Boston Vaccination Mandate, Boston University has announced an update to its COVID-19 policy in regards to ticketed indoor events hosted by the Department of Athletics and Agganis Arena.
Effective Jan. 15, 2022, all guests 12 years and older will be required to present digital or printed proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (two weeks after final dose) to gain access to Agganis Arena and the Case Center for ice hockey and basketball games. Proof of a qualifying negative COVID-19 test will no longer be accepted for admittance after Jan. 14.
The policy guidelines will undergo additional changes on Feb. 4, 2022, when all guests 5 years and older will be required to provide digital or printed proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 (two weeks after final dose) to gain access. In addition, all guests 16 years and older who are eligible (six months past completing their initial Moderna or Pfizer vaccination; two months past the Johnson & Johnson vaccination) will be required to show digital or printed proof of booster vaccination AND original full vaccination to gain access to the facility.
In addition, per City of Boston guidelines, all guests over the age of 2 are required to wear a mask, except while actively eating or drinking.
