Women's Golf Finishes Fall with Sixth-Place Finish at Terrier Intercollegiate

SPARTANBURG, S.C. - Paced by top-20 finishes from senior Alice Fan, sophomore Christy Chen and junior Flair Kuan, the Boston University women's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule on Tuesday with a sixth-place finish at the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford at The Carolina Country Club.
BU posted a 305 in Tuesday's final round to finish at 919 (+55) in a competitive 16-team field as USC Upstate took the title with a 908 (+44). The Terriers finished one stroke behind fifth-place North Alabama and four strokes back of fourth-place UNC Asheville.
Senior Alice Fan turned in a team-best 74 (+2) on Monday to finish tied for 10th at 226 (+10). Sophomore Christy Chen was right behind with a 75 and ended up tied for 14th at 227 (+11) while junior Flair Kuan had a 5-over 77 and placed tied for 18th at 229 (+13). Both Fan and Kuan posted four birdies on the day.
BU's fourth score came from senior Monica Yu, who shot 1-over on the back nine to card a 79 (+7) and finish tied for 56th at 241 (+25). Senior Kristen Min Ju Kim, who was competing as an individual, wrapped up with an 81 to finish tied for 50th at 239 (+23) while sophomore Victoria Takai ended up 77th at plus-38.
