BOSTON – To open the month of December, the Boston University women's basketball team continues its three-game road swing with a trip to Saint Joseph's on Thursday (Dec. 1). Opening tip is slated for 7 p.m.
BU vies for its fifth consecutive win. During its four-game streak, the Terriers have won twice away from home. Thursday will be the first of four treks to the state of Pennsylvania for BU this season, but the only one for a non-league matchup.
On the other bench, Saint Joseph's seeks to start its campaign with seven straight wins. Four of its first six victories have come at home, as the Hawks begin their season with six home contests through their first eight games.

TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU won its fourth game in a row with the largest margin of victory in the Melissa Graves era, beating UNH on the road, 78-42 on Nov. 27.
- Senior Maggie Pina made a trio of three-pointers for a team-high 13 points.
- Classmate Sydney Johnson racked up 12 points and five assists.
- Sophomore Alex Giannaros and freshman Sam Crispe scored 10 points each.
- The Terriers set season-bests with 78 points and 42 points allowed, shooting 50 percent from the field (28-for-56).
- BU finished the month of November with four wins for the first time since the 2017-18 season.
- During the winning streak, the Terriers are averaging 71.5 points per game and hitting nearly 43 percent of their three-point shots.
- On the defensive end, BU is allowing just 48.7 points, as foes have recorded a .288 field goal percentage and .205 three-point clip.
- Nationally, BU ranks seventh with 6.2 blocks per game, 18th with a .334 field goal percentage defense, 30th with 17.3 assists per game, and 42nd .246 three-point percentage defense.
- Junior Caitlin Weimar is tied for eighth in Division I with four double-doubles, 22nd with 7.2 defensive rebounds per game, 25th with 10.2 boards per contest, and 26th with 2.2 blocks per game.
- Weimar's 2.2 rejections per game tops the Patriot League. Senior Maren Durant and Crispe are each tied for second at 1.2 per game.
- Pina has hit 52 percent of her three-point attempts, good for 15th in the nation.
- With a victory, BU will have at least one five-game winning streak in three consecutive seasons. That last occurred from 2010-13.
SCOUTING SAINT JOSEPH'S
- Saint Joseph's is one of 28 teams in Division I that remains undefeated, starting the year 6-0.
- Most recently, the Hawks defeated North Florida on the road, 79-56, on Nov. 27.
- Saint Joseph's defeated two future Terrier opponents earlier this season in Bucknell (66-49) and Yale (59-54).
- Talya Brugler leads the Hawks with 13.7 points per game, hitting over 49 percent of her shots.
- Mackenzie Smith (12.5 points per game) and Laura Ziegler (11.5 points and eight rebounds per game) also score in double figures.
- Brugler and Katie Jekot garnered Atlantic 10 Preseason All-Conference honors, as the Hawks were selected to finish sixth in the A-10 Preseason Poll.
- Last season, Saint Joseph's recorded a 13-17 record, going 7-8 in conference play and reaching the A-10 semifinal round as the seventh seed.
SERIES HISTORY
- Thursday marks the eighth all-time meeting between BU and Saint Joseph's in a series that began in 1981.
- The Hawks lead the series, 6-1, having won the last six after the Terriers won the first matchup.
- The teams squared off in the 2012 WNIT in their last matchup, with the Hawks winning 67-56 in Philadelphia, Pa. on Mar. 15, 2012.
- Rashidat Agboola led BU with 14 points, while Mo Moran and Chantell Alford posted 12 and 11 points, respectively.
- The Terriers seek their first win over an A-10 foe since a 64-60 triumph over UMass on Dec. 14, 2016.
