Terriers Sit in Second After Day One of River Landing Classic

WALLACE, N.C. - After two rounds at the River Landing Classic, the Boston University women's golf team sits in second place at +9, four strokes off the lead.
BU had the lowest round of the day, kicking off the tournament with a 289 before shooting a 296 in the latter round. James Madison holds the lead at +5.
Senior Hanako Kawasaki (69) and sophomore Flair Kuan (70) sat 1-2 on the leaderboard after the opening round and Kuan followed it up with a 72 and is currently in second at -2. Kawasaki shot a 76 in round two and sits in a tie for fifth at +1.
Juniors Alice Fan (72-79) and Kristen Min Ju Kim (78-73) are tied for 34th at +7 while freshman Christy Chen (80-75) is tied for 55th at +11.
Kawasaki led all players in birdies on Monday with nine and Kuan tied for the most pars on day one with 30.
The third and final round will take place on Tuesday (March 8) starting at 9 a.m.
