No. 3 Lightweights Post Three Top-Three Finishes at Dad Vail Regatta

PHILADELPHIA - The Boston University women's lightweight rowing team completed their last weekend of racing before the IRA Regatta with three top-three grand final finishes at the Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River.

Stroke seat Lindsay Albert and bow seat Kathryn Grabowski finished second place in the women's collegiate double grand final with a time of 7:24.41 behind Princeton (7:24.41) but ahead of two MIT boats (7:37.14, 7:42.53), Wisconsin (7:51.62) and Gordon (8:13.86).

The Terriers finished second in the women's open varsity heavyweight four grand final behind first-place Wisconsin. The four coxed by Mayela Gaol and stroked by Delaney Bernier finished the course with a time of 7:02.97 ahead of Lafayette, Bowdoin and Colorado. The Terriers' four coxed by Nora Chan and stroked by Charlotte Duan finished sixth with a time of 7:16.28.

BU concluded the weekend with a third-place finish in the women's open varsity heavyweight eight grand final. Coxswain Rayna Kuthiala and stroke seat Nina Palmer led their boat to a time of 6:33.56, behind Princeton and Georgetown, but ahead of Grand Valley, Purdue and Connecticut.

The Terriers have three weekends off before heading to Princeton Junction, New Jersey, for the IRA Championship from June 2-5.
