
Terriers Finish Second at IC4A Championships

NEW YORK – The Boston University men's cross country team took second at the IC4A Championships at Van Cortlandt Park on Friday. In the finish, BU placed ahead of a ranked team in the northeast region in No. 5 Northeastern.
Graduate student Foster Malleck led BU with a fifth-place finish in 24:06.3. Not Far off was sophomore Freddy Collins (24:07.9) in seventh to give BU two appearances in the top 10. The next two in for the Terriers were sophomore Parker Schneider (24:32.5) and senior Robert Hannon (24:34.5) in 21st and 22nd, respectively. Rounding out the scoring for BU was graduate student Mike Hagen (24:50.0) in 43rd.
Also competing were junior Matthew Mason (24:53.6), graduate student Kevin Murphy (25:18.0), freshman Karsen Vesty (25:32.7) and sophomore Moritz Ebbeskotte (25:34.3).
Five Terriers competed in the men's open 8K, led by sophomore Tucker Bowerfind who placed fifth with a time of 25:34.6. Fellow sophomore Glenn Bell (25:49.5) placed 12th and senior Will Loggia (26:04.3) took 23rd. Freshman Daniel Demonte (26:49.5) and senior Nate Somers (27:13.9) also competed.
The Terriers will be back in action on Sat., Oct. 28, when they compete at the Patriot League Championships at Colgate.
