Q&A With D.J.Ā
  • Why did you choose BU?Ā I chose BU because when I went on my visit to the school, I loved the city atmosphere and the coaches and players made it feel like a home away from home right away. I was super comfortable with everything the school had to offer and I knew from day one that I made the right choice.Ā
  • What did you enjoy most about your BU experience?Ā What I enjoyed most was all the different types of people I met while going to BU. People from different ethnic backgrounds, different parts of the country and even different parts of the world. The diversity that BU brought to my life helped me so much along my journey. Looking back I also enjoyed just walking up and down Comm Ave. Boston is such beautiful city and to be able to take that walk every day from my apartment to class to the basketball gym was an experience I will always cherish.Ā
  • How did your time at BU prepare you to get to where you are today?Ā It prepared me to be able to sit in any room with anyone and be comfortable with being myself. BU taught me how to be professional and what hard work really means. BU was tough academically and it really tested your work ethic to see how badly you wanted to excel academically, and there a lot of late nights and early mornings preparing for exams or writing papers. With the help of my professors and academic advisors, I was able to learn what it really means to be prepared. I wouldn't be where I am today without that experience.
  • Why is it meaningful for you to be involved with the University, Athletics, and your team as an alumnus?Ā "It'sĀ super important to me because I want to see BU continue to grow in the right direction. When I arrived on campus, BU was already one of the top schools in the country, and now it's up to myself and my fellow alumni to continue to contribute to the growth ofĀ the University. It's important for the current BU students to know us and our stories and build a network with us to potentially help them in their careers going forward. I want to see the men's basketballĀ teamĀ get everythingĀ itĀ deservesĀ when it comes to facilities and overall funding so we can eventually see those guys back in the NCAA Tournament. That means a lot to me because I am a Terrier for life!"Ā Ā Ā
