LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Boston University women's swimming & diving team opened up the 2023 Patriot League Championships with a pair of fifth-place finishes in relays at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
In the first race of the meet, the Terriers posted a time of 1:42.03 in the 200-yard medley relay with a squad of four juniors - Lara Mitchell, Clarissa Hoyt, Madison Kim and Sydney Sorbello.

Later on the 800-yard freestyle relay, BU added another fifth-place finish as freshman Haley Newman and sophomore Ashley Scafetta swam the first two legs before freshman Stella Langenbach and sophomore Sasha Ramey closed out to post a time of 7:28.02.
Day two of the PL Championships will start with preliminaries at 10 a.m. on Thursday (Feb. 16).
