Disher Named Hockey East Rookie of the Month, Runner-Up for HE Rookie of the Year

AMESBURY, Mass. - Freshman Brooke Disher of the Boston University women's ice hockey team has been named the Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Month for February, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. The defender was also named runner-up for the Hockey East Rookie of the Year award.
Disher led all Hockey East freshmen in goals (4) and points (6) during February and finished her rookie season with 17 points on seven goals and 10 assists. She had a team-best 23 shots during the month and added five blocked shots.
She was named to the Hockey East Pro Ambitions All-Rookie Team and had at least one point in nine of her final 11 contests. Her seven goals currently lead all Hockey East defenders.
