Women's Golf Places Eighth at River Landing Classic

WALLACE, N.C. - The Boston University women's golf team wrapped up play at UNCW's River Landing Classic on Tuesday, posting a team score of 317 for an eighth-place finish in the 11-team field at River Landing.
Seniors Kristen Min Ju Kim and Alice Fan and junior Flair Kuan all tied for BU's low round on Tuesday at 79 (+7).
Sophomore Christy Chen was the Terriers' top finisher for the tournament as her 75-74-80--229 (+13) performance tied her for 22nd. Kuan was a stroke behind at 76-75-79--230 (+14) to finish tied for 26th.
Fan posted a 71-86-79--236 (+20), placing her 43rd, as she was one of only nine golfers to turn in an under-par round during the tournament.
Playing in her second tournament as a Terrier, freshman Annika Manjunath registered 81-77-81--239 (+23) to finish tied for 46th.
Kim tied for 52nd in the field with a score of 79-84-79--242 (+26) while sophomores Victoria Takai (83-80-82--245) and Andrea Balaguer (83-82-82--247) competed as individuals and placed 57th and 59th, respectively.
The Terriers will return to action in two weeks when they participate in the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by William & Mary.
