Terriers Tied for Lead After First Round at SHU Spring Invitational; Manjunath Lone Golfer Under Par

MILFORD, Conn. - Freshman Annika Manjunath shot the only under-par round of the day to pace the Boston University women's golf team on the opening day of the SHU Spring Invitational on Sunday at Great River Golf Club. The Terriers will enter Monday's final round tied for first with tournament host Sacred Heart.
Manjunath led all players in the opening round with a 1-under 71 while sophomore Christy Chen placed third with a 1-over 73. Senior Alice Fan is currently tied for fifth after recording a 3-over 75 in the opening round while classmate Kristen Min Ju Kim was BU's fourth score on Sunday with a 6-over 78. Junior Flair Kuan shot an 80, placing her 16th.
Playing as individuals, sophomores Victoria Takai and Andrea Balaguer carded a 78 and 82, respectively, on Sunday.
The Terriers and Pioneers will enter Monday's final round 20 strokes ahead of third-place Hartford.
