Terriers Sit in Seventh After Day One of Red Bandanna Intercollegiate

CANTON, Mass. - The Boston University women's golf team currently sits in seventh place through 36 holes after the opening day of the Red Bandanna Intercollegiate at Blue Hill Country Club.
The Terriers posted an opening-round 310 and followed it up with a 312 in the second round. They will enter Tuesday's final round one stroke behind sixth-place St. John's.
Junior Christy Chen carded a 75-76--151 and is in a tie for 11th on the individual leaderboard along with senior Flair Kuan (78-73--151).
Sophomore Annika Manjunath opened with a 78 and followed it up with a 75 to finish the day at 153, putting her in a tie for 18th.
Paced by a team-best four birdies on day one, junior Meiqi Gao is currently tied for 33rd at plus-12 after posting a 77-79--156. Freshman Madison Takai had three birdies on Monday, including her final hole of round one and each of the final holes of round two, and recorded an 80-82--162 score to sit in a tie for 59th.
Freshman Hibiki Adachi posted an 82-84--166 and is tied for 75th.
BU will kick off its final round on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m.
