Terriers Welcome Army West Point to Case Gym Wednesday Night

BOSTON – In a rematch of last year's overtime Patriot League quarterfinal thriller, the Boston University men's basketball team will host Army West Point on Wednesday night at Case Gym with tip-off slated for 7 p.m.
After both road teams prevailed during the regular season, the Black Knights eliminated the Terriers, 71-69, with BU missing a game-tying 3-point attempt in the final 10 seconds. Now six games into a new year of conference play, the programs will finally clash.

After both road teams prevailed during the regular season, the Black Knights eliminated the Terriers, 71-69, with BU missing a game-tying 3-point attempt in the final 10 seconds. Now six games into a new year of conference play, the programs will finally clash.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- BU held a 33-28 halftime lead at defending PL champion Colgate on Saturday before the Raiders pulled away, as junior Ethan Okwuosa earned a season-high 16 points.
- Though the Terriers don't currently have anyone averaging double figures in points, 11 total have scored at least 10 points during a contest this year with senior Miles Brewster (9.9 ppg) having hit the mark a team-high nine times.
- Brewster also leads BU with 59 assists, 27 steals and 22 3-pointers, while sophomore Otto Landrum owns a team-high 6.2 rpg alongside 8.2 ppg, which is tied with Okwuosa.
- Though senior Anthony Morales (9.0 ppg) saw his streak of consecutive 20+ point performances snapped at two against Colgate, he did dish out a personal-best five assists while adding eight points, six rebounds, a block and steal.
- The Terriers are currently 1-2 at home against PL opponents with all three squads currently combining for a 13-5 conference record with BU handing one of the losses to American (4-2), 72-68, back on Jan. 10 behind Brewster's 21-point performance.
- Overall, BU is averaging 64.0 ppg and 40.0 FG% while holding opponents to 66.2 ppg and 42.1 FG%. The Terriers lead the nation in allowing just 6.6 offensive rebounds per contest.
- Though the Terriers are committing 2.4 fewer fouls per game compared to last season (17.5-15.1), they've had five foul outs after totaling six a year prior.
- The Black Knights are on a four-game losing streak, including most recently a 57-53 loss at Navy, after earning a 70-57 home win against Holy Cross.
- Army is 1-8 on the road compared to the 4-6 home mark, posting a 63-53 win at UTSA following an earlier 70-64 loss at Harvard, Both the Black Knights and BU share a common loss at UAlbany.
- Josh Scovens leads Army at 12.2 ppg alongside 5.6 rpg with Ryan Curry also averaging double figures at 10.1 ppg and TJ Small just behind at 9.5 ppg.
- Army is averaging 60.6 ppg and 39.8 FG% while holding opponents to 63.4 ppg and 43.0 FG%.
- The Black Knights are averaging two more made 3-pointers per game, but opponents are making 3.8 more shots from the charity stripe.
- BU leads the all-time series, 22-17, after the Black Knights won two of the three meetings last year.
- Five of the last six contests have been decided in single digits with three games decided by two or fewer points.
- Overall, the Terriers are 11-6 at home compared to the 11-11 road mark.
- BU returns 21 points from the 71-69 OT PL quarterfinal loss and just four points from the 83-74 home loss.
- BU will return on the road by making its first of three trips during conference play to the Keystone State with a visit to Lafayette on Saturday (Jan. 27) at 2 p.m.
- The Leopards won the first meeting at BU back on Jan. 6, 59-51, after both home teams won in OT last year.
