Men’s Rowing Completes Saturday Races at 59th Head Of The Charles

BOSTON – The Boston University men's rowing team began its first full day of racing at the 59th Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday Oct. 19), as the DeWolfe Boathouse served as the starting line. Three alumni crews and three current student-athlete boats represented the Terriers in Saturday's racing.

The Men's Senior Master Eights ignited the morning, placing 27th with a time of 18:07.083. Racing in the Grand Master Fours as well, BU clocked in at 20:07.475 for a 14th-place result.

The Men's Alumni Eights featured graduates from the Class of 2016 to last year, the former featuring current Associate Head Coach Alex Dillon. A time of 15:08.051 gave the crew a ninth-place result.

BU's Club 4+, coxed by Hannah Noguchi and stroked by Sam Speed, featured four Terrier freshmen. Completing the course in 17:01.065, BU's time was the fourth-fastest among collegiate crews, and eighth overall.

Two Club 8+ boats represented the Terriers in the afternoon as well. BU's "A" crew, coxed by Luke Stroh and stroked by George Kreidler, was also top-five in the collegiate landscape, and sixth overall at 14:46.971. The "B" boat, coxed by Ben Brinckerhoff and stroked by Aaron Eldring, was 18th overall and 14th among collegiate crews with a time of 15:32.858.
