
Chen Claims Medalist Honors as Terriers Win Title at Kingsmill Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Boston University women's golf team claimed its second tournament win of the year on Tuesday, posting a final-round 300 to edge Penn and Sacred Heart by a stroke for the title at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort. Junior Christy Chen won her program-record sixth individual title.
The Terriers entered the final round 10 strokes behind Penn and rallied for the victory as Chen and freshman Hibiki Adachi each shot a 1-over 73 and freshman Amy Han was right behind with a 74.
Chen won the individual title by one stroke, posting a 6-over 222 to edge Sacred Heart's Chantal El Chaib. It marked the sixth victory of her career, breaking a tie Kristyna Pavlickova '15 for the most in program history.
Competing as an individual, sophomore Annika Manjunath finished ninth at +16 (78-73-81) and Han was one stroke behind at +17 (82-77-74) for the first top-10 finish of her career.
