
Terriers Claim Title at Hartford Invitational; Han Earns First Collegiate Win

BLOOMFIELD, Conn. - The Boston University women's golf team cruised to its third title of the season, placing four golfers in the top five, including freshman Amy Han's first collegiate win, at the Hartford Hawks Invitational on Saturday at Tumble Brook Country Club.
Han followed up her opening-round 74 with a 1-over 73 on Saturday to win the individual title by four strokes with a score of 147 (+3). Sophomore Annika Manjunath also had her best collegiate finish, tying for second at plus-7 (75-76--151).
BU won the team title by 29 strokes, posting a 303-307--610 to outdistance runner-up Holy Cross (639) and host Hartford (656) in the nine-team tournament.
Junior Christy Chen posted her eighth top-five finish of the season, posting a 75-79--154 (+10) to place fourth. Classmate Victoria Takai was the third Terrier to have her best-ever finish, taking fifth with two rounds of 79 for a 14-over 158.
Junior Meiqi Gao was able to earn a top-10 finish by being part of a five-way tie for eighth at 161 with rounds of 80 and 81.
Playing as individuals, freshmen Hibiki Adachi (85-80) and Madison Takai (83-82) tied for 16th at 165.
The Terriers will complete a busy weekend on Sunday when they take on Holy Cross in match play at the Wanumetonomy Golf Club in Middleton, R.I.
