No. 13 Men’s Rowing To Face Holy Cross, Temple, Marist, Hobart On Saturday

BOSTON – Back in action for the first time in two weeks, the Boston University men's rowing team takes on four programs on Saturday (April 20) on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Mass.
The Terriers will face four Northeast foes in Holy Cross, Temple, Marist, and Hobart. The day begins with the Varsity 8 race at 11 a.m., with four eights total competing.
BU returns to the water after squaring off against local rival Northeastern on April 6. The Terriers won the Third and Fourth Varsity 8 races, while the Huskies retained the Arlett Cup.
In the latest iteration of the EARC Heavyweight Men's Seeding Poll, released on Wednesday (April 17), BU's crews were ranked 10th (V8), eighth (2V8), seventh (3V8), and sixth (4V8). Holy Cross' top two crews were 15th in that poll, while its 3V8 and 4V8 were slotted 14th.
The IRCA/IRA Men's Heavyweight Varsity 8+ poll also updated on Wednesday. The Terriers remained in 13th. Temple was in 22nd, followed by Holy Cross at 23rd.
The Crusaders recently wrapped the Occoquan Invitational with all four boats finishing in fourth place in the Grand Finals. Hobart also competed in the regatta in Fairfax, Va., with its three crews reaching the B Final.
Temple took part in the Knecht Cup down at Cooper River Park last weekend. The Owls were victorious in the Varsity 4 and Second Varsity 4, while its Varsity 8 was second to La Salle in a time of 5:58.16. Marist was also in New Jersey, with the Red Foxes' Second Varsity 8 advancing to the Grand Final.
Following Saturday's racing, BU heads north to compete in the Lake Morey Invitational from April 27-28. The Terriers will compete against Syracuse, Georgetown, Wisconsin, and Dartmouth throughout the weekend.
