BOSTON – Continuing its stretch of races on the Charles River, the Boston University women's rowing program is set to face off against Harvard-Radcliffe, Northeastern, and Dartmouth on Saturday (April 6).
The morning begins with the Varsity 8 race at 9:10 a.m. Saturday's races will air on ESPN+, via Harvard. The link to the broadcast above will broadcast Harvard's men's races to start, but will feature the women's events later on.
Weather conditions as of writing are expected to feature temperatures in the low 40s with cloudy skies and chances of scattered showers. Winds are expected to come from the north as high as 12 miles per hour.
BU is fresh off its spring opener against Cornell back on March 30. The Terriers captured three wins against the Big Red in the Varsity 8, Second Varsity 8, and Varsity 4.
Earlier this week, BU's V8 was selected as the Patriot League Boat of the Week for the week of April 3. It marks the first league weekly award for the Terriers since April 19, 2023.
Northeastern opened its spring at the Doc Hosea Invitational, where the Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 placed third in their respective races. Harvard launched its spring schedule on March 23 in the Ivy/Big Ten Regatta, taking a win in the morning Second Varsity 4 session. Dartmouth will open its spring on Saturday.
Following Saturday's action, BU will face the Huskies again with the Council Cup on the line on Saturday (April 13) in Boston. Both programs will also welcome Rhode Island to the Charles River.
