Women's Rowing Completes Day One of NCAA Championships

BETHEL, Ohio - The reigning Patriot League champion Boston University women's rowing program completed the opening day of the 2024 NCAA Championships on Friday at East Fork/Harsha Lake.
Competing at the NCAA Championships for the second time in three years, BU raced against the top crews in the nation during morning heats. Coxed by Audrey Lucerne and stroked by Sofia Suhinin, the varsity 8 boat opened the day with a time of 7:18.404 in its heat. The 2V8, coxed by Trisha Jaggi and stroked by Ada Giraldo, followed with a time of 7:42.395 in its race before the V4 boat, coxed by Kennedy Walker and stroked by Sonya Carson, posted a time of 8:30.341 in its heat.
All three boats advanced to Saturday's C/D semifinals. The V8 will race at 8:24 a.m., followed by the 2V8 at 9 a.m., and the V4 at 9:36 a.m.
