BOSTON – The No. 14/13 Boston University women's ice hockey team (13-6-1, 11-3-1 HE) is prepped to face Harvard (2-12-2, 1-10-1 ECAC) in the semifinals for the 46th Dunkin' Women's Beanpot on Tuesday (Jan. 14). Puck drop at Matthews Arena is set for 4:30 p.m.

Northeastern and Boston College will face off in the late semifinal and the tournament will head to TD Garden for the second consecutive year for the championship and third place games on Jan. 21.

BEANPOT NOTES
- The Terriers are 11-19-6 in Beanpot games, including a 7-11 record in semifinals, since becoming a varsity program in 2005.
- BU has won two Beanpot championships - one in 2019 and another in 1981 as a club team.
- The Terriers have eight Beanpot semifinal wins with seven of them coming as a varsity program.
- BU and Harvard last met in the Beanpot in 2023, when the Terriers won 7-4 in the third place game.

2024 BEANPOT RECAP
- In 2024, BU won the shootout against Boston College to advance to the first-ever women's Beanpot Championship game at TD Garden.
- Junior Lilli Welcke scored and senior Callie Shanahan saved every shot she faced in the shootout.
- In the championship game against Northeastern, BU forced an overtime thanks to a goal at 19:02 in the third.
- The Huskies ultimately came away with the win when they scored 27 seconds into overtime.

- BU played a weekend series at Vermont, going 1-1 across the two games.
- The Terriers won Friday's game 2-1 thanks to goals from Li. and Luisa Welcke.
- Li. Welcke's goal was scored 1:01 into the game and Lu. Welcke's came on a shorthanded chance.
- In the Saturday loss, junior Sydney Healey and senior Maggie Hanzel found the back of the net.
