Women's Swimming & Diving Powers to Victory at Terrier Invite

BOSTON – Highlighted by two individual victories and a first-place 400-free relay finish, the Boston University women's swimming & diving team won the Terrier Invite for the first time since 2018.
BU ended the three-day competition with 1,150 points, well ahead of Northeastern (1,043) and Bryant (936.50). UMass (761), Fairfield (726.50) and Boston College (716) rounded out the full-team standings, as Army West Point (66) and Colgate (29) only had divers compete.
In total, the Terriers compiled six top-three results Sunday evening over six events with freshman Molly Barber winning the 100 free at 50.38, .24 seconds quicker than Northeastern. She later teamed with freshman Lily Osborn, freshman Kiki Rampersad and freshman Danka Ndubuisi to take first in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:22.83, .18 seconds ahead of Boston College.
Sophomore Cambria Jewett (1:58.38) won the other individual event in the 200 back, as she and Ndubuisi (1:59.23) gave the Terriers a 1-2 result. Freshman Hadar Miller (2:17.51) led BU in the 200 breaststroke with a second-place result, and senior Haley Newman (2:00.43) added another second-place finish in the 200 fly.
In the first event of the session, sophomore Katie Pestrichelli swam to a time of 17:09.06 to place fifth in the 1650 free.
Winning its third Terrier Invite since 2010, the Terriers will next take an extended break and open the new year at Colgate on Jan. 10.
