Terriers in Top Half After Opening Day of Columbia Classic

MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Boston University women's golf team kicked off their spring season on Saturday with the first two rounds of the Columbia Classic at Duran Golf Club.
The Terriers posted scores of 308 and 296 on the day to stand at plus-28, good for sixth in the 12-team field.
Senior Christy Chen followed up a 76 with a 1-under 71 and stands in 11th place among the 71 golfers in the tournament.
Sophomore Amy Han is also in contention, currently tied for 14th at plus-5 after posting a 76-73--149 on Saturday.
Senior Victoria Takai is tied for 33rd at plus-9 after rounds of 78 and 75, while classmate Meiqi Gao (+12) and sophomore Hibiki Adachi (+13) are tied for 46th and 49th, respectively, as individuals.
Sophomore Madison Takai opened with an 80 but improved to a 77 in round two and is now at plus-13 tied for 49th. With a score of 78-81--159 (+15), junior Annika Manjunath is in a tie for 58th.
Sunday's final round will commence at 8:15 a.m.
