Adam Sheikali (CAS'18) - Men's Soccer

- All-conference and all-region honoree as a senior in 2017
- Earned a biology pre-med degree from the College of Arts & Sciences
- Currently an otolaryngology resident at the University of North Carolina
Q&A With Adam
- Why did you choose to attend BU? "I chose BU predominantly with an academic and athletic balance in mind. I knew that I wanted to play at a competitive level for a competitive school, but at the same time, I wanted to have a strong academic background that would allow me to pursue opportunities off the field as well. My coaches had a strong emphasis on academics for all their players, so it felt like a no-brainer in choosing to come to BU."
- What did you enjoy most about your BU experience? "100% the people. I made some of my best friends during my time there, and I'm still in such close contact with a lot of them. I even work alongside a former BU soccer player who had the same coach as me despite us having graduated almost 30 years apart."
- How did your time at BU prepare you to get to where you are today? "Being a student-athlete at BU taught me how to balance my time and prioritize not only myself but the tasks in around me. I gained a very healthy work-life balance that can be often difficult to find in my career. It also taught me how to cross a street without waiting for a crosswalk sign to change which saves me 5-10 seconds every day!"
- Why is it meaningful for you to be involved with the University, Athletics, and Men's Soccer as an alumnus? " I owe BU a great deal for who I am and where I'm at today, so it's extremely meaningful for me to be on the other end of things and see other student-athletes such as myself get to where they want to be. I'm proud to be a BU Terrier, and it's evident that other alumni share that same sentiment."
