Roan Earns PL Weekly Honor

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Junior Ellie Roan was named Patriot League Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
Roan competed in three events at the USF Alumni Invitational last weekend, most notably notching a 59.91m hammer throw mark to set a new personal best and improve her number two spot on BU's all-time top 10 list. That mark ranks second in the PL and is 12th in the NCAA East Region.
The Sebastopol, California native also reached 14.10m in the shot put and 43.76m in the discus. Her shot put mark is fourth in the Patriot League and her discus mark is sixth.
This is the first time Roan has garnered outdoor field performer of the week honors.
Next up for the Terriers, they travel to the Texas State Bobcat Invitational and the Raleigh Relays from Thursday, March 27 to Saturday, March 29.
