Bridget Bishop (Questrom'21, MET'22) - Women's Track & Field
November 2, 2025 | Women's Track & Field
- Five-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll member and four-time team captain
- Earned business administration and management degree from the Questrom School of Business along with master's in criminal justice from the Metropolitan College
- 2020 Academic All-PL Team honoree after winning bronze in the shot put at the Indoor PL Championships
- Why did you choose to attend BU? "I looked at BU for college based on its location in a major city and its strong academic reputation, but what really made me choose BU was the people I met on my official visit. I met people from every track event group, and they were welcoming and eager to share their BU experience. Plus, it didn't hurt that the visit fell during lobster night on-campus."
- What did you enjoy most about your BU experience? "The best part about my experience was the people. Track is a big team where the men's and women's programs train together the entire year. With around 100 athletes, there's always someone to get to know or someone around to support you. Training with teammates was usually the best part of my day, even on the hardest training days. Some of the things I miss most as an alum are the weight room cheers during a tough set and the travel trips to compete with some of your best friends."
- How did your time at BU prepare you to get to where you are today? "BU was a major stepping stone for many of my big life decisions. It was where I learned I wanted to go to law school and where I found opportunities to work in the legal and health sector as an undergraduate. Now, I am a recent University of Wisconsin Law school graduate and will be working as a healthcare litigator in Chicago, Illinois. The discipline and time management skills I learned as a student-athlete helped me through the rigorous law school curriculum, while the people I met as a student-athlete continued to be a huge part of my support system."
- Why is it meaningful for you to be involved with the University, Athletics, and Women's Track & Field as an alumni? "BU track and field gave me a second family when I chose to go to school halfway across the country. My teammates and coaches were always there to lift me up and cheer me on. Staying involved gives me the opportunity to give back to a program that helped me grow while also helping other athletes have a positive experience at BU."
