GREENVILLE, N.C. - The Boston University women's golf team stands in 12th place after the first two rounds of the Ironwood Invitational, which opened on Monday at Ironwood Golf & Country Club.
Sophomore Amy Han shot rounds of 76 and 75 on Monday and stands tied for 24th at plus-7 heading into Tuesday's final round.
Senior Christy Chen rebounded from an opening-round 81 to shoot a 76 in round two and move up to a tie for 58th at plus-13.
Junior Annika Manjunath had a larger difference in her two scores, posting an 83 in the morning before following it up with a 3-over 75. She is currently tied for 62nd at plus-14.
After an opening-round 81, senior Victoria Takai shot a 78 in round two and is tied for 68th at plus-15. Senior Meiqi Gao, playing as in individual, is one stroke back at plus-16 after two rounds of 80. Sophomore Madison Takai (82-80) is tied for 78th at plus-18.
BU recorded a 320 in the opening round but had the largest improvement of any team in round two, posting a 304.
Tuesday's final round starts at 9 a.m.
