Terriers Set to Face No. 11 Texas Tech in NCAA Tournament Friday

BOSTON – After claiming its seventh Patriot League title, the Boston University women's tennis team drew No. 11 seed Texas Tech in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, set for Friday, May 2. First serve is set for 2 p.m. ET.
Led by head coach Lesley Sheehan, the Terriers (13-8) won their 29th conference title with a thrilling 4-2 win over top-seeded Army West Point. BU will make its 20th NCAA appearance.
Ranked 12th in the latest ITA national poll, Texas Tech (22-2) will serve as the host for BU, FIU and Stanford. The Red Raiders most recently won the Big 12 with a 4-2 victory over No. 22 UCF. FIU and Stanford will play in the other match on May 2 at 11 a.m. ET.
The two winners will face one another on Saturday, May 3, for a chance to advance to the regional championship. That match will be played at the higher seed's institution before the tournament moves to Baylor in Waco, Texas.
