Anderson Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Freshman Samuel Anderson of the Boston University track & field team was named the Patriot League Rookie of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, the league announced.
Anderson competed at the Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invitational, finishing fourth in the 400m with a 48.55 time, good for third in the Patriot League and first among PL freshmen. The Slate Hill, New York native also competed in the 4x400m relay, helping the Terriers clock a 3:14.45 time. That mark is second in the Patriot League and ranks 10th among the all-time marks at BU.
This is Anderson's first weekly honor. The Terriers will return to action on Friday, Jan. 31 and Saturday, Feb. 1 at the John Thomas Terrier Classic.
