Golf Finishes Tied for 11th at Rutgers Invitational

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Boston University women's golf team wrapped up its regular season on Sunday at the Rutgers Invitational and finished tied for 11th at the tournament, which took place at Rutgers Golf Course.

Senior Annika Manjunath was the team's top finisher, tying for 45th at plus-27 (75-82-83--240) while freshman Sophia Zhang was a stroke behind in a tie for 48th (80-76-85--241).

Freshman Monica Wu ended up in 52nd place at plus-30 (83-77-83--243) with classmate Wendy Li right behind at plus-31 (81-80-83--244). Junior Hibiki Adachi finished the tournament tied for 60th at plus-35 (84-74-90).

The Terriers tied with Lehigh for 11th in the 16-team field. BU put up scores of 319, 315 and 334 to finish at 968 (+116), one stroke behind 10th-place FDU. The host Scarlet Knights won the tournament by 12 strokes over runner-up Penn.

BU now turns its attention to the Patriot League Championship, which will take place on April 17-19 at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
