Women’s Rowing Concludes Races Against No. 9 Brown, Columbia

LEONIA, N.J. – The Boston University women's rowing program raced against No. 9 Brown and Columbia at Overpeck Park on Sunday. BU rowed in overall great conditions with variable cross tailwind throughout the day's events.
The Varsity 8+, coxed by sophomore Sydney Caragher and stroked by junior Lydia Pelton, turned in a time of 6:30.19. The Second Varsity 8+ finished in 6:31.25, nearly seven seconds ahead of Columbia. The boat was coxed by sophomore Laura Leong and stroked by freshman Marta Carfagni.
BU's Varsity 4+, coxed by senior Maya Wiisanen and stroked by sophomore Anna Woodside, raced to a time of 7:36.89. The Second Varsity 4+, coxed by senior Valeria Lizarraga Ramirez and stroked by freshman Emma Cuzzocrea, finished in a time of 7:36.60.
The Terriers will be back on the water on Saturday (April 25) when they face Rhode Island and Delaware in Worcester, Mass.
